Chilaska: Lodging in Chile & Alaska

My home base in Alaska is my lodge on Lake Iliamna.  In Chile I work with a pioneer family with several ranches with access to over 60,000 acres of private property.  In Alaska we use Dehavilland beaver float planes to access much of the southwest part of the state.  In Chile from the town of Coyhaique we can reach hundreds of thousands of square miles from a single lane gravel track that cuts a hundreds of miles South and North.  I also have a broad network of lodges, ranches and campsites that I use to reach other exciting fishing and backcountry.

My Iliamna lodge is located on the northeast shore of lake Iliamna near the village of Pedro Bay.  Charming and intimate you will have your own private cabin with bath.  At the lodge we have a wood fired hot tub and sauna.  Outstanding red salmon fishing is available in July and the Iliamna river during August and September hold good rainbow trout and char.  Daily fly-outs are available for world class rainbow and salmon fishing and activities such as kayaking, mountain biking and hiking are possible.

Near the town of Coyhaique Chile we stay in a lovely restored ranch house set on 15,000 acres of private land.  A spring creek and small river are located on the property.  We have the ability to travel to some very different landscapes from Argentine pampas, to  rainforest.  From here we can fish small streams and big rivers for rainbow and brown trout and also some salmon fishing is available.  Other activities include rafting, kayaking, horseback riding and mountain biking.
